Bogotá, August 8 (Prensa Latina) President Gustavo Petro on Monday chaired the opening day of the Latin American and Caribbean Ministerial Summit on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The summit, which concluded on Tuesday, brought together ministers and high-level representatives from 33 countries to discuss the challenges and opportunities of AI in the region.
In his opening remarks, Petro emphasized the need to use AI for the benefit of society and to ensure that it is used in an ethical and responsible manner.
Also on Monday, Petro met with National Liberation Army (ELN) commander Antonio GarcÃa in Havana, Cuba. The meeting was part of ongoing peace talks between the Colombian government and the ELN.
